The best time to spot the constellation of Libra is in the month of June in the night sky after 9 pm. You can easily notice four bright stars that form a quadrilateral. The brightest stars of the Libran constellation are called Brachium, Zebenelgenubi, Zubenelakrab, and the Zubeneschamali. Actually the sign Libra was named after Zubana which means both a common balance and a scorpion in Arabic. That is why there was confusion with the sign. Earlier Libra used to be identified by the claws and now it is identified using the common balance.

Before the scorpions claws were used to identify the constellation of Libra. However, now the whole common balance can be jotted out once a person finds these four stars.

Libra is considered to be one of the younger constellations of the skies. Also, Libra is a unique constellation because it is the only symbol that does not mean a living thing and is an inanimate object like the weighing scale. These called also represent the goddess of justice which is symbolized by Virgo.

The Libran constellation showers the May Librids. The sun visits this constellation from October 21st to November 22nd. There is only one more constellation within Libra and that is the Gliese 581 which has four planets and also is known to resemble the earth very closely.
