1. Phantom sounds are known to take forms of music, voices or recurring noises that might happen in regular intervals. The typical sounds of footsteps being heard at nights, laughter and cries are synonymous with residual haunting. It is believed that the spirits that are intelligent may produce sounds for attracting your attention or for communicating with you. You might have experienced hearing tapping, knocking or scratching against a wall or crashes or bangs without any apparent reason. 2. Phantom smells can also indicate that a spirit is present in the vicinity. Smells might come along with a residual haunting that is many times reported as the apparently obvious perfume that was used by the departed.
