One of the happenings which made it to the prophetic news in the modern times is the formation of the EU. It is said that the formation of this nation was prophesized in the Bible centuries earlier. There it was said about the Roman Empire being revived later in the world. Now, it is believed that the formation of EU represents that prophecy.
Now, another prophecy, which was mentioned in Luke 21:23-24 is that “Jerusalem will be trampled upon”. The prophecy is being fulfilled in the recent times with the Romans destroying the country of Jerusalem and its Temple, quite shortly after the prophecy was written- 40 years later, to be precise. The interesting bit about this prophecy is that it was conveyed at a time when the people of Jerusalem had considerable power and authority over themselves. Now, even after around two thousand years of the Roman invasion of Jerusalem, the city is still to recover from it fully.
